Established in 1947, the Boone County Shopper is an all advertising publication that is delivered to homes and businesses on Thursdays by mail. The Shopper's primary target market is Boone County including the city of Belvidere and four villages: Caledonia, Capron, Garden Prairie and Poplar Grove.
The Shopper contains a cross section of advertising that consists of display ads, auctions and want ads (line ads). This publication has a circulation audit and readership survey completed every other year. The Shopper has a circulation of more than 20,000 and it covers 99% of Boone County each week.
